WHAT IS EYE OF THE OCEAN?

Eye of the Ocean is a monitoring program focused on whales, dolphins, sharks and rays in Santa Elena Bay in the Pacific Ocean. Monitoring is performed from the boat as direct observation, with photography, by hydrophones, filming from drone, as well as with underwater cameras and with diving equipment or freediving. The second part of monitoring is from the coast with binoculars. Volunteers report whale sightings using radios and then the field team goes out to the ocean.
